Everything you need to know about booking your wedding DJ in KZN

I mainly focus on popular music from the last 20 years, along with a selection of older sing-along classics that get everyone on the dance floor.

Absolutely! I welcome song requests throughout the evening. However, I do use some discretion to ensure the music flows well and keeps the dance floor packed.

Of course! I encourage couples to share their favorite songs and must-play tracks. Your music preferences help me create the perfect atmosphere for your special day.

I always say it's not about how much music you have, it's about knowing what to play, where, when, and for whom. That said, my music library is extensive, and chances are I'll have any song requests your guests can think of.

I also have access to iTunes and streaming services for any last-minute requests (dependent on cellular data coverage at the venue).

Yes! I have two wireless Shure SM58 microphones, the industry standard and best in the business for live events.

The short answer is "yes." The long answer is that I've invested in active speakers manufactured by leading brands like JBL, RCF, and Samson.

Since it's an active system (each speaker has a built-in amplifier) rather than being run from a central amplifier, you won't even notice if one speaker malfunctions—the rest of the speakers run independently.

I also prepare for the unexpected, so there's always a spare mixer and laptop in the van as well.

Yes, dance floor lighting is included in all my quotes. It's an essential part of creating the right atmosphere!

No problem at all! I've invested in a battery-powered PA system for forest ceremonies and outdoor venues without power. My system can run for up to 3 hours without electricity, no Eskom required!

Yes! I regularly DJ at weddings in the Drakensberg area including Underberg, Cathedral Peak, Champagne Valley, and surrounding venues. Travel fees apply based on distance from Durban. The mountain scenery makes for incredible wedding celebrations!

Absolutely! I've invested in a battery-powered PA system specifically for outdoor and forest ceremonies. My system runs for up to 3 hours without electricity, perfect for bush chapels, garden ceremonies, and scenic outdoor locations.

Yes! I offer a professional photobooth service that's perfect for keeping your guests entertained throughout the evening. Learn more about the photobooth rental options and see how it can add extra fun to your celebration.

At any given time, I have bookings up to 18 months in advance. If you book 12 months ahead, there's a good chance I'll be available for your wedding date. However, don't hesitate to reach out even if your wedding is sooner—I may still have availability!

Simply reply to my quote once you're ready to proceed, and pay the deposit to secure your date. It's that easy!

I aim to arrive at least two hours before your ceremony to set up. Music will be playing well before your first guests arrive, creating the perfect ambiance from the start.

The venue needs to provide a standard trestle table, table cloth, and a power outlet. That's all I need to set up!

No, I don't charge for setup and breakdown time. It's all included in my package.

I am based in Durban and meet couples in Westville. With over 1000 weddings under my belt, I have first-hand knowledge of most KZN venues. For new venues, I simply arrive earlier on the day to assess the best setup.

Many of my consultations are conducted via video call, phone, or email these days, which works perfectly well for planning your big day!

There is a R5,000 non-refundable booking fee required to secure your date.

If your wedding needs to be postponed due to a disaster or unforeseen circumstances, we'll work together on finding a new date that works for both of us.
